LOOK: LGU Malungon, headed by Mayor Tessa Constantino, signed a Memorandum of Agreement with J.J Valderama Behavioral Management Center, represented by its Chief Executive Jerry C. Valderama, for the operation of Balay Silangan Drug Reformatory Center of Malungon on January 9, 2023 during the flag raising ceremony at the Sunken Arena.
LGU Malungon established the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council and Municipal Reformatory Center in compliance with DILG MC No. 2009-09 which mandates the unified action and the principal responsibilities of local governments to support government efforts in addressing the problems on illegal drugs.
J.J Valderama Behavioral Management Center has been deemed to have the necessary skills in addressing the need in capacitating clients to achieve mental wellness, provide programs to heal and reintegrate drug patients in becoming more productive and acceptable in the community.
The MOA signing was witnessed by Vice Mayor Jun Escalada, Municipal Administrator Noel Ramos, and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Ruth Arangote, together with the Municipal Officials and employees.
