Founder / Chief Executive Officer

Accredited as Global Trainer on UTC Basic Level for Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme (CPDAP) effective January 2018, passed the ICAP II Clinical Level of ICCE Examination in Bangkok, Thailand in 2015, took Recovery Coach of ICCE RC Examination in Johor Bahru in 2014, and ICAP I Basic Level in Bangkok, Thailand in 2013. He was working and trained as an Addiction Professional in the Addiction field for more than 20 years, rose from being a resident to Case Manager to Program Director to Center Manager. In recovery with over 2 decades of clean and sober time. He believes recovery is possible if you work for it.

Evelyn Valderrama, most commonly known as “Ruth” to those dear to her is a paragon in the field of Real Estate and Entrepreneurship. As a young determined lady, she was exposed to various business ventures and pursuit. Driven by her desire to help people who are on their way to recovery just like herself, she committed her time and skills to help her husband manage and operate JJVBMC.

Jerry or also known as “JR”, is an enthusiast and keen to detail kind of person. He finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology in Brokenshire College. JR started supervising role at the age of 22 in retail industry. For years, he stayed in BPO industry roughly for 7 years with managerial position. During his stays with the BPO industry, he managed to sustain all the administrative work. He was also once a director of operations for an IT company based in Europe. Now, he will bringing his skills and knowledge to JJVBMC as the General Support Service Head.

Argel Joseph Aventura, RPm, Mpsy, ICAP I

Clinical Operations Supervisor

Argel finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Notre Dame of Dadiangas University as Magna cum Laude. It was in the same university where he was exposed to various leadership roles and community works. He is a staunch advocate of #NewGenLeadership, #MentalHealth, and #SafeSpaces. Driven by such causes, he affiliated himself to various national and international organizations which share the same pursuits like Southeast Asian Leaders Organization, Toastmasters International, Psychological Association of the Philippines, International Society for Substance Use Professionals, Youth for Mental Health Coalition, and Mindanao Youth for Mental Health where he was able to carry out a number of initiatives and projects. Argel is a Registered Psychometrician by profession and a trained Mental Health First Aider and Recovery ALLIES by the Drug Advisory Program – Colombo Plan, United States Department of State. As Clinical Treatment Operations Supervisor, he oversees all clinical-related operations of JJVBMC – both in Davao Oriental and Davao City.

Henry Zaldivar, RS, ICAP I

Lead Case Manager

John has been in the field of addiction for about 12 years doing community development and recovery coaching. It all started with the compassion to help people with substance use disorder. It was in 2016 when he was formally introduced to the Colombo Plan and went to pursue formal trainings and educations in the Addiction Field. He was then exposed to various programs in private and government facilities, and in the community. John is a Certified Recovery Coach and an International Certified Addiction Professional – Level I by the Colombo Plan Global Centre for Credentialing and Certification.

Francis Kate Tabat-Valderrama, RN, MN

Staff Nurse

Most people call her as “Kate”. Kate finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at Brokenshire College and took up the licensure examination on 2013. Took up Master’s Degree at Ateneo De Davao University. Kate served for years in various and respected hospitals in Davao City including her vast exposure in the largest Government hospital facility in the Philippines. Her professionalism and skill will immerse the safety of the clients here at JJVBMC.
